Rio Bend RV was built in the early 1980’s by a local farmer as an RV resort for winter visitors to the Imperial Valley. Snowbirds were drawn to the area because of the mild winters and sunshine. To entertain themselves the winter visitors laid out green tarps as greens and tin cups for holes across the lake in the brush. Tee off was from the top of the hill north of the current club house. After watching the snowbirds, the owners decided to build the course immediately. They designed the course and during the summer of 1985 they brought in equipment to move dirt, install a sprinkler system and planted grass. The snowbird left in the spring having golfed all winter from green tarp to tin cup and returned in the fall to a completed nine hole golf course.
Since that humble beginning Lakeview Golf Course now has a traditional feel with lots of palm and eucalyptus trees lining the fairways and plenty of strategically placed bunkers and water hazards to make this executive golf course unconventionally challenging for seniors, beginners and low handicappers alike.
This 9 hole par 32 course has a nice assortment of yardages that vary between 104 and 424 yards making it the perfect for beginners or those working on improving their game. Over 90 percent of the golfers walk this golf course for the exercise and to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Imperial Valley.
Additional facilities include a putting green, chipping area and a natural grass driving range for practice and game improvement.

Golfers will enjoy peaceful setting with lakes, mountain views and beautifully manicured greens and fairways. Enjoy practicing on the putting green and driving range before you tee off. The executive style nine hole course has two tees per hole giving our golfers eighteen different holes to play.
The golf shop patio area is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view of the setting sun while sipping on a cool drink. Our snack bar is open weekdays for cold or grilled sandwiches.
